Sister Audrey (Raymond Ann) Juergens, BVM, 93, died at Mount Carmel Bluffs, Dubuque, Iowa, on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Visitation was held from 9-9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel at Mount Carmel Bluffs. Sharing of Memories was held at 9:30 a.m. followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial was in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Sister Audrey served as an assistant registrar at Clarke University, assistant BVM postulant and novice mistress, and associate administrator of Marian Hall, all in Dubuque, Iowa. She ministered as an elementary teacher at St. Patrick in Lincoln, Ill.; St. Francis Xavier in Phoenix; Incarnation in Glendale, Calif.; St. Catherine Siena in Reseda, Calif.; and St. Theresa in Palm Springs, Calif.; and as a media specialist at Holy Redeemer in Montrose, Calif. She was a schedule coordinator with Young Audiences Art Education Program and an outreach worker with St. Joseph Catholic Community Services, both in St. Louis.
She was born on June 16, 1932, in St. Louis to Raymond and Anna (Proost) Juergens. She entered the congregation on Sept. 8, 1950, from St. Philip Neri Parish, St. Louis. She professed first vows on March 19, 1953, and final vows on July 16, 1958.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond (Margaret) Juergens, and sisters Rita (Martin J.) McManus and Mary Helen (Ronald A.) Brunnert. She is survived by nieces, nephews and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 75 years.
