The Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Br Armin Luistro, has appointed Br Emmanuel Mboua as Visitor of the District of Central Africa for the second time, from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2029, after a first ‘pro-tempore’ appointment given to him in 2022 for three years.

Br Emmanuel, born in 1965, is a native of eastern Cameroon. After primary education he entered Saint Joseph’s College in Diang, where he met the Brothers of the Christian Schools. In 1985 he began his religious formation, taking his first vows in June 1988. He pronounced his final vows in August 2002.

Brother Emmanuel has worked as a secondary school teacher and as an animator in rural development projects. In 2008, he was appointed a member of the CELAF Institute in Abidjan; he has also held the positions of bursar, director of CAFOP and director general of the CELAF Institute. In 2015, he joined his district as director of the La Salle Technical Institute in Douala.

Brother Emmanuel Mboua also holds a PhD in Philosophy (Christian Ethics), from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, and a Master’s Degree in Theological Ethics, as well as a Degree in Pastoral Theology. As a researcher, he has published five books on Ethics and Bioethics.

Br Armin, in renewing his appointment, has thanked him for the service he had already rendered to the Institute and the District of Central Africa in previous years, explaining the decision to renew his mandate: “Your Brothers have chosen you, which is not only a sign of trust, but also a solicitation on their part to accompany them fraternally by offering them the time and attention they deserve”. For Brother Armin, in fact, “the challenges are numerous, both in the field of vocations pastoral ministry and in the building of the Lasallian Family or, more specifically, the challenge of belonging”.

The Superior General then concludes his letter of appointment by expressing to Br Emmanuel his deep gratitude for his willingness and acceptance to assume once again the leadership of the District of Central Africa for the next four years.

Congratulations Br. Emmanuel! The whole Lasallian Family wishes you fruitful and prosperous work.
